Fall Lake township learns about broadband needs in the area (Lake County)

The Ely Echo reports Paul Peltier, Executive Director of RAMS (Range Association of Municipalities and Schools), attended Fall Lakes township meeting to inform the board about what has been discussed at RAMS meetings. Gruba has been attending RAMS meetings. Peltier gave a history of RAMS which was formed in 1939. The organization serves 27 townships, 27 cities and 15 school districts all in the Taconite Assistance Area.

MiBroadband building better broadband in Fillmore County with MN State Broadband grant

KTTC reports After receiving millions of dollars in grants, a broadband provider has big plans for Fillmore County. MiBroadband out of Harmony is working on four projects to bring fiber broadband to hundreds of locations, with the work being done around Fountain and Preston. Three of the four projects received around $5 million in grants from the Minnesota Office of Broadband Development, the fourth is being funded independently by MiBroadband.
